POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing & Data Analyst will use audience data to monitor consumer behavior and conduct analysis of digital efforts’ effectiveness, developing reports that surface consumer actionable insights and frame up opportunities across the organization.
This employee will be responsible for analyzing & owning multiple data sources across the Publishing Department, including Web, Paid Media, Social and CRM.
The right candidate demonstrates the ability to discuss findings with stakeholders periodically, performing ad-hoc analysis while also taking the time to automate and standardize visual dashboards.
The Digital Marketing Analyst will grow their career potential by uncovering actionable customer insights that impacts strategy, articulating value for acquisition, retention, and monetization.
Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employee's to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects and analyzes digital consumer data and statistics to measure the performance of all digital marketing efforts.
- Builds digestible dashboards, monitors, and understands performance in relation to KPIs, and conveys insights that tell an actionable story.
- Performs comprehensive analysis to develop an in-depth understanding of our gamer personas, as well as picture consumer journey to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Monitors and analyzes site performance tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking.
- Partners with Web teams to own site-side analytics and participates in web projects to ensure proper measurement tools are in place.
- Works closely with Media, Web & CRM teams to help optimize website funnels, channel performance and customer segmentation and provides recommendations and analysis on A/B tests.
- Translates data into insights that help stakeholders understand customer needs, behavioral drivers and content performance in a concise and effective manner.
- Interprets the needs of cross-departmental partners and presents relevant analytical approaches to support or satisfy those needs.
- Documents and train internal users on web analytics "best practices” and works with a cross functional team to improve the integration and dissemination of data and intelligence across the company.
- Serves as subject matter expert to the Marketing team on data trends innovation and trends that affect our industry and customers.
- Ensures data integrity and quality and adheres to all data sharing and customer privacy guidelines and regulations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5+ years in digital analytics, marketing analytics or customer analytics, particularly for D2C brands.
- Proficiency in web analytical tools (Google Analytics), data visualizations tools (like GDS, Power BI, Tableau), ESP tools (like Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, Braze), Customer Experience Management Platforms (Sprinklr), Display Ads tools (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and SEO monitoring tools (Search Console).
- Solid understanding of digital marketing mix modeling and digital’s 360 ecosystem (Organic, Social, CPC, Email, Inbound, etc..) as well as marketing attribution models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate data findings to non-technical audiences.
- A high degree of organization and multi-tasking skills in addition to being detailed oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with international projects and working with remote teams is a plus
- Technical knowledge including website architecture, html, tag management, basic front-end code, as well as understanding of mobile platforms.
- Experience retrieving/summarizing transactional data sets and integrating those data with customer data to develop new insights is a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration or another quantitative field.
