Digital Artist Internship

Unity 3D is offering you the opportunity to join a team of imaging specialists. We capture and create digital twins of consumer materials and products. Using state of the art imaging technology we create textures and materials used throughout the virtual 3D world.
You will form part of the scanning team’s core function, receiving digital art assets and turning them into photo-exact 3D digital representations of their real world counterpart, ready for any virtual environment.
You will be the final step in delivering content to clients and as such will need to keep check with industry brands for quality and delivery of their digital content.
As part of the Scanning Team you will have the opportunity to make a real change in how we capture / process and deliver assets to our clients. You will also provide vital feedback that helps us improve our software platform for both speed and artistic value.
The position offered is a paid internship in our brand new scanning facility in Kilkenny City. Where this position is mainly office based, some travel client meetings may be required.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Scanning Team and Partner Manager
- Processing PBR (Physical Based Rendering) materials to project requirements
- Categorising and archiving materials for delivery through Content Library
- Proving evolving workflows
- Process improvements
Requirements
- You must be currently studying at at least 3rd level studies in a relevant subject area.
- You should be able to collaborate and work within a team
- You are proactive and enjoy problem solving
- You should have some experience working with digital photography
- Its great if you have experience with Adobe or similar software desirable
Bonus Points
- Experience working with PBR or procedural materials for virtual scenes
- Experience using Unity shaders or ArtEngine
