The Bungie Digital Advertising team is searching for a Digital Advertising manager to help player growth and engagement. As a digital marketing professional, you excel in building and executing innovative digital campaigns. Tough challenges are opportunities to create a competitive advantage, as you relentlessly experiment and challenge assumptions to push media buying boundaries.
In this role, you will be responsible for reaching Bungie audiences through paid media – aligning with the Marketing, Sales, Creative, and International teams. Working alongside these groups, you will build and execute effective advertising campaigns while discovering new growth opportunities. You are data-informed with a focus on driving cost-effective market awareness and player acquisition.
Gone are the days of single platform acquisition and measurement. In this role, you will partner closely with the analytics and creative teams; pioneering new ways to buy and track multiplatform (game consoles, PC) performance across various business objectives - ensuring the right audiences are met with a compelling value proposition. Your work will be critical to shaping Bungie’s go-to-market paid media strategy and platform for years to come.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executes digital advertising strategy with support from marketing vendors and internal teams.
- Optimizes, and effectively manages paid media campaigns, defining new tactics in a growing field.
- Supports relationships with marketing channels, influencing partner roadmaps towards improved acquisition performance.
- Maintains a high level, up-to-date understanding of ad platform best practices.
- Partners closely with Analytics and leadership teams with key performance indicator development.
- Tests new sources of traffic, products, creative concepts, and targeting ideas under a measured framework.
- Innovates user acquisition through campaign experimentation, building upon established practices in unconventional ways.
- Performs detailed analysis evaluating marketing campaign performance.
- Works closely with area and project leadership on acquisition strategy alignment during global campaign launches.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 2+ years running digital advertising campaigns - ideally with a ‘free-to-play product’.
- Hands on campaign management or planning experience with Google, Facebook or other major ad platforms.
- A record of successfully managing digital advertising budget above target KPI.
- Creative problem-solving acumen with the analytical rigor to confirm or invalidate assumptions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Passionate about video games!
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Deep familiarity with the Destiny franchise and its online player communities.
- Experience with enterprise scale live operations, games as a service, MMO, and mobile and companion experiences.
Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment).
