Duration: Full time, Monday to Friday 9:00am -5:30pm

The Development Support tester is responsible for directly following up with product features for testing, verification, and responding to requests from the Developer Team. As a Development Support, you will become a knowledge base for your product area and able to understand the ins-and-outs of how the feature should work, and that it launches on time with the highest quality possible. The ideal candidate will work on improving processes that developers use in creating some of the industry’s most exciting games. Get hands-on experience with new and improved art tools, work with developers to come up with the best processes. Test out new software tools.

Requirements

- Familiarity with art tools, (Maya, Houdini, Photoshop, Shotgun)

- Computer Science background or equivalent

- Ability to work alone and can take action on their own

- Has good communication skills and has been in a position where they had to report up

- Can use Perforce (or experience with Code depots or version control systems), Visual Studio, Excel

- Previous QA experience

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Embedded Dev support for onsite engineers

- Advocate for quality and create awareness through reports and release documentation

- Create test scripts, plans, and quality strategies for products

- Create and follow Test Plans and Verifications

- Execution of manual test cases for tools released

- Create quality awareness through daily reports, weekly reports, and release documentation

- Maintain the Quality Assurance pipeline discovery through a fix to regression verification

- Provide Qualitative feedback regarding the product

- Follow up with development and testing partners to evolve testing practices and prevent future defects

- Maintain Bug Database in DevTrack, JIRA, or Asana

- Integrated into development process, part of daily stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives

Who You Are

- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision

- Capable of understanding complex features/systems and how it applies to the product

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Detail-oriented with strong observational skills

- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and features

- Proficient in PC use and current generation video game consoles

- Flexible and team-oriented; Should have a good interpersonal and follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

- Ability to work in group settings under high-pressure
