OVERVIEW
London Studio are building a team from the ground up for an upcoming PlayStation 5 online game. Quality is something that we are immensely proud to be aiming for, and we are looking at putting the right team together to help take us forward. New starters will be joining at the perfect time to get involved in shaping our plans for a project we are exceptionally passionate about.
We are also part of a wider network of PlayStation Studios and there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and wider support from our sister studios like Insomniac, Guerrilla, Naughty Dog and Media Molecule to name a few.
Development support is an evolution of the QA tester role bringing in more responsibilities and opportunities.
You will work closely with the Tech team to test our new proprietary games engine and development tools, whilst collaborating with our developers to learn their workflows and how they create content that goes into the games we make.
Scope of Work
- Working with the development team to test the Game engine & Development Tools.
- Dev Support are embedded within multi-discipline teams working on the game engine and are dedicated to testing those areas.
- You will gain knowledge of game development workflows.
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting issues in JIRA.
- Responsible for writing and carrying out test plans.
- Providing qualitative feedback using data/analytics.
- Learn development practices and use this knowledge to help find the root cause of issues.
Knowledge / Experience
- Previous games QA experience
- Previous knowledge of QA methodologies.
- Analytical, problem identification and solving skills.
- Excellent communicator with a high standard of written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Proactively able to handle personal workload using initiative.
- Experience with game engines like Unreal or Unity in either a personal or professional setting is a plus.
Impact / Complexity
- You have ownership of an area of the engine and will be responsible for all testing, communication and reporting for that area.
- Carrying different types of tests including smoke, functional and exploratory.
- You will have the freedom to propose new processes and improvements to how we work.
- Responsible for providing reports to multi-discipline teams that you work within.
- You will be experienced with a variety of test tools including bug databases like Jira.
- Responsible for sharing information with the wider team.

Our roles can be flexible in terms of work location in the UK. We will consider the individual’s preference for hybrid, remote or onsite working. Unfortunately we are not in a position to accommodate remote working outside of the UK.
