We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager/Development Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of game development projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. You will work closely with our artists, designers, and engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will mentor and motivate the teams to improve processes, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminate any team impediments.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate project kick-off and review, release planning, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
- Plan, manage, and deliver solutions using agile methodology values, principles, and practices
- Monitor progress and performance and help teams make improvements
- Promote accountability and ensure that team members are meeting their obligations
- Be able to present in various settings and to various levels of management
- Manage complex software development projects in the gaming industry
- Have a strong understanding of the game development process for mobile games or games as a-service type games
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management or development management
- 3+ years of experience in budget management for projects
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate between Art and Engineering teams to manage tasks within a game development environment
- Track record of successfully monitoring progress and performance in complex technical projects
- Strong project management skills and processes to ensure timely delivery
- Ability to work effectively with remote team members across different time zones in the US
