Technical Project Manager

At BARB we want our Technical Project Manager to support our teams by inspiring them, championing good practices and offering a calm and clear presence when things get hot.
As a TPM at BARB you will be expected to bring software and game development experience, curiosity, and flexibility to find the right solution for our teams to excel. You will be able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge of game development software processes and have experienced all of the excitement that game development provides. We want to feel the passion you have for communication and organisation along with the ability to reflect a calm, patient presence in an fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the engineering craft while managing the dependencies of our cross functional team’s, development partner expectations, publishing requirements and service requests.
- Manage Core Engineering development and deployment, while mitigating development risks.
- Ensure data in all project-related tools and repositories is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare clear and effective communications plans and ensure proactive communication to all stakeholders.
- Ensure that the project meets all objectives for quality and looks continuously for quality improvement.
Requirements:
- 5 plus years of recent, strong code and system Project Management experience.
- Basic understanding of shared technology systems, environment promotions, integration, and deployment.
- Knowledge of project management concepts and frameworks including SAFe, SCRUM, Agile and PRINCE 2.
- A deep understanding of project management tools; MS Project, Excel, JIRA, Confluence, Perforce, Gitlab etc.
- Experience managing an engineering team with strong, capable leadership.
