The Developer Technology Group assists game development teams working at a low level on PlayStation hardware. We help these teams to achieve efficient use of the PlayStation's hardware, SDKs and tools in order to create highly performance code.
Responsibilities
The Developer Technology Group is looking for an intern to assist us in research and development of a number of projects to push the boundaries of CPU systems or graphics on PS5. As an intern, you will be in charge of programming modules and functions that are directly related to the following project: Utilize machine learning to analyze and advance SIE's efficiency in a chosen area. There are many possibilities to what this could mean. For example this may be technology used to analyze & automate support response analysis, audio analysis, texture synthesis or compression, or another appropriate area chosen by the intern and the hiring manager's team
Qualifications
Projected to graduate in 2024
Currently enrolled in a Masters degree program; CS majors highly preferred
Practical knowledge of machine learning (ML)
Has implemented ML and can discuss implementation details of the project and your role within the team
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership for your work
Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
Can work with others and has a willingness to educate
2+ years of experience in C#, C++ or similar Object-Oriented programming language
Good foundation of computer graphics and linear algebra
Good foundation of multi-threaded paradigms, audio and file systems
Knowledge of and/or experience with Visual Studio
