Senior Developer Support Engineer

The Opportunity

Unity Technologies provides a growing number of services to our customers as an end-to-end solution for game development and monetization. These services complement the core engine software used by game developers. These additional software services aid developers with Unity Ads (https://unity.com/products/unity-ads) management, Analytics intelligence, and ways to more optimally create and share game builds. You will be primarily supporting the demand side of monetization and working closely with Unity Ads SDK and Unity Exchange (https://docs.unity.com/demand-side-partners/en/manual/UnityExchangeIntro).

As a Developer Support Engineer for Unity, you’ll be the primary point of technical support for DSPs and SSPs who bid into Unity Exchange. You may triage sudden drops in performance, test new features or build internal tools. Does this sound like you? You are part developer, part investigator, and all about customer happiness.

What you’ll be doing

• Be the first contact point for technical inquiries from demand side partners, using the Zendesk and JIRA technical ticketing system to handle, prioritize and escalate appropriately
• Participate in client meetings as a domain specialist for technical product details
• Investigate, research, debug, and seek integration problems, interacting with customers and internal development engineers as needed
• Improve, expand, and develop documentation, resource materials, and technical FAQs
• Represent the voice of the customer and surface customer needs and issue

What we’re looking for

• Comfortable debugging HTML, Javascript, XML, JSON. Familiarity with IAB frameworks such as VAST, VPAID, and MRAID
• Experience in debugging and profiling mobile devices, browsers and APIs
• Comfortable analyzing network requests in Charles or a similar web proxy software
• Phenomenal teamwork and interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and a drive for results
• Proficient written & spoken English

You might also have

• Experience with programmatic or in-app advertising
• Previous experience in a B2B technical support role
• Experience with Go, Java, NodeJS, scripting and the command line

Additional information

Gross base salary (USD): $94,400.00 - $111,100.00

*Note: Certain locations require a good faith disclosure of the base salary range for the role. The actual salary for the successful candidate may differ based on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
