What will you be doing?
We're looking for someone to build the developer platform to support our internal content developer on Unity engine. Eventually, the developer platform will be opened for the external content developer. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Unity SDK: You'll be responsible for designing and developing the SDK of our core platform to the Unity developer. It would be including the user manual, API reference document and feature demo.
Performance benchmark tool: You'll also be providing the tool to present the limitation and benchmark of the infrastructure resource in terms of CPU, GPU, FPS, networking and even power consumption. Developer will use the tool to ensure the content quality.
Development Env. maintenance and efficiency: You'll be maintaining the physical development environment and create any supporting tool to improve the efficiency of the content developer.
Who are we looking for?
- At least 4+ years of experience in Unity development or equivalent game development in terms of the software architect, content implementation and real-time multiplayer game knowledge. You can work independently and own the entire software development lifecycle which include requirements gathering, architectural design, coding, testing and ultimately shipping a high quality product.
- You'll be a lean team leader, work with the R&D team and the content development team closely to enhance our current platform and structure.
- We’re making the holodeck real at Sandbox VR. We expect this to be a very competitive market, which means we have to innovate as a team. You should be open to researching and solving completely new technology challenges nobody has solved before.
How can you really impress us?
- If you have deeply knowledge in mathematics, algorithm or physics, we'd love to hear about that. To make the immersive experience, it requires strong science knowledge and programming implementation.
- If you’ve worked in PC, console or mobile game development project. You'll love our internal content development team who came from AAA gaming industry.
- Outside of your job, it would be a huge plus if you’ve done engineering work with cutting edge technologies as a hobby, such as VR/AR/MR, robotics / drones, motion capture, or machine learning. We have plans to work with all of these technologies as we grow our holodeck platform.
