DevOps Engineer (Platform Team)

Wargaming is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Platform Team.
Our Platform DevOps Team bridges the gap between software development and its operation and deployment. The team is responsible for consultation about the production environment, automation of deployments and configuration, regular operations, and incident resolution.
The goal of the Platform Team at Wargaming is to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for our players, decrease development costs, and reduce the hurdles to publishing new titles.
What will you do?
- Build a technical development roadmap according to management priorities, team ideas about the ideal DevOps world, and world renowned DevOps practices
- Based on past experience and efficiency of current solutions, be a natural technical lead of DevOps engineers and software engineering tech leads
- Find trade-offs between business efficiency and content of work for engineers
- Lead the implementation, seamless integration and support of a set of DevOps practices and processes
- Participate in ideation of upcoming DevOps improvements
- Still be hands-on as a DevOps engineer, and be responsible for part of an actual product, including incidents, a little maintenance, code review, documentation, and CI/CD automation.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of professional work experience with Unix/Linux, and system administration related tasks
- Understanding of CI/CD methodology and experience with its tooling (Jenkins, Infrastructure as Code)
- 2+ years of experience with Bash, at least one general-purpose language: Python, Ruby, Golang, Perl, etc., and networking systems and technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP, etc.
- 1+ years of experience with containerization tools like Docker, and understanding of orchestrators like Mesos/Marathon or similar
- Strong foundation with relational database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), and their performance tuning
- Passionate about automation (Puppet, Ansible, Fabric, Chef) and configuration (Zookeeper/Consul) management.
- Capability of becoming a “trusted advisor” to your customers in respect of DevOps best practices, technology and process choices
- Experience in providing mentorship and guidance to other team members
- Experience making solid technical direction decisions
- Proven skills in technical communication with other teams
- Russian language knowledge (Russian-speaking team).
What will help you stand out?
- Experience with LPIC, RHCSA, RHCE; Centos, Debian, OpenVZ, Zabbix, Prometheus
- Hands-on programming experience with Erlang, Java, Scala, JavaScript, Elixir, Golang, etc.
- Expertise in building large-scale, high-volume, secure, efficient, and resilient operations environments
- Experience in make decisions with minimal supervision
- Software debugging skills.
