The Support Engineer will be a critical part of the Ops/Engineering team. This role will be required to be on-call for production or live operational support.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
- Working with Jenkins to automate the parts of software development related to building, testing, deploying, and facilitating CI/CD pipelines.
- Create new tools and support existing tools to manage systems and services
- Creating specialized scripts for accomplishing support tasks.
- Maintaining and verifying system alerts
- Design, implement, monitor, and support cloud infrastructure requirements with a focus on automation
- Collaborate with the development team to understand infrastructure requirements for platform features and resolve issues in the development experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of support engineering and infrastructure management experience
- Experience with AWS
- Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Strong practical Linux Systems Administration skills (able to do system performance tuning)
- Batch processing knowledge/experience
- Experience working on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
- Strong analytical, technical problem solving, and code debugging skills
- Programming experience in any object oriented language; C/C++ or Java preferred.
- Ability to work either independently or in a team environment, depending on the task
- Experience with Perforce (big plus if you have experience with Perforce Server Administration)
