At Ubisoft Düsseldorf we are looking for a DevOps engineer to join the Uplay infrastructure team. Uplay is Ubisoft’s gaming platform with player-facing client applications, but also provides SDKs and tools used by Ubisoft game production teams all over the world to deliver their amazing content to the players. Uplay creates, grows, and maintains Ubisoft’s digital PC business and is the main distribution channel as the Ubisoft first party PC destination.
As a DevOps engineer in Uplay you will use your knowledge and experience to improve and expand the platform to achieve a true always online platform, minimize interruptions, and help enabling developers to work more efficiently with our infrastructure with a strong focus on automation, reliability and performance.

This is a permanent position based in Düsseldorf, Germany and requires working onsite.
Responsibilities
• Develop: Work with our developers to expand and build new platform features
• Automate: A strong focus on automating all parts of your day to day
• Monitor: Watch and tweak our alerting and metrics, SLIs and SLOs
• Maintain : Making sure that the day to day operations go smoothly
Qualifications
We want you to be a collaborative problem solver who can communicate about problems and solutions both with your team and stakeholders.
Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- Developer or an engineer with a 3+ years of experience of working with infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Experience of programming in languages like Python or Go.
- Strong knowledge in Linux, networking with TCP/IP, containerization and container orchestration (we use Docker and Kubernetes).
- Other skills or experiences that could be relevant for your role include infrastructure-as-code, logging and monitoring, test automation, system administration, configuration management and databases.
