What You'll Do
Atlassian Administrator
Epic Games is growing operations inside our internal IT team to support our Atlassian Suite of products. The person in this role will work closely with various internal stakeholders to provide services that enhance the user experience for all of Epic’s internal users of the Atlassian systems. This role will help the team with items around operational excellence such as observability and performance at scale.
In This Role You Will
- Provide technical oversight for the Atlassian Suite
- Design, develop, and administer Atlassian products (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence)
- Providing consultation, support and implementation services for users working within Atlassian tools
- Evaluate and deploying custom plugins for JIRA, Service Desk, and Confluence
- Create, customize and maintain projects for cross functional teams within the company
- Provide user management and grant user permissions using Okta/SSO integration
- Perform migrations of projects in JIRA and migrations of spaces in Confluence
- Conduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and Confluence regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise with JIRA projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins, partner teams, external vendors, Atlassian premier support, and TAMs
- Create custom post functions and triggers using Groovy Script in Atlassian
- Perform application upgrades with scheduled downtime and preemptive communication to customer
- Develop and maintain backup and restore strategy for the Atlassian suite of products
- Work with outside vendors on improving and maintaining the Atlassian products
- Work with the Cloud Engineers to design and build operational infrastructure to support Jira, Confluence and other Service Management tools
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years experience running Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence
- Proven experience working with JVM based applications and hosting JIRA/Confluence on Linux
- Demonstrable scripting experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Python, Groovy, Shell)
- Experience with REST services, and familiarity with SQL database concepts
- Experience with a continuous delivery model of deploying software
- Experience with researching and managing 3rd party add-ons for Jira and Confluence
- Experience with creating and managing complex workflows in Jira and Service Management
Nice To Have Skills
Preference for candidates with
- DevOps tools, including Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
- Experience with load balancers and proxies
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with databases
