DevOps Administrator

Job Description

This job position belongs to a team that’s supporting and operating various internal IT services in the aim to help Ubisoft producing games globally. Although not being involved directly in game production, those services are making it possible for Ubisoft Studios worldwide to produce games efficiently.

Mission

• Design, enable and deliver scalable and automated strategy
• Managing mission critical services used by 40+ Ubisoft Studios worldwide
• Enable DevOps mindset into the organization by working collaboratively with Development and Operations Team members.
• Developing and Implementing operation strategies such as Monitoring, Patching and Version Control.
• Enabling DevOps solutions development & deployment paradigms.
• Maintain general platform health and system integrity.
• Coordinating with other Team members to plan capacity and scaling needs.
• Run and maintain different Product environments (Development, Stage, Production)

Qualifications

Specific/Technical Competencies:
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 5 years in Systems Administration within a large organization. We are looking for an autonomous, responsible and dynamic person that wants to take part in an ambitious and passionate team. You must possess an excellent team spirit and you have excellent troubleshooting skills. You are devoted to offering an irreproachable service to the users.

Basic Qualifications:

1. At least 2 years working experience in supporting mission critical and high concurrency IT services
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a computer-related field
3. Good Command of English (both written and oral)
4. Working experience in Linux system administration. In-depth knowledge and experience in supporting distribution system or web-based applications in a large organization

Preferred Skills:
1. Strong communication skill (within a multicultural organization)
2. Excellent knowledge of DevOps workflow and tools
3. Proficient with scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) (asset)
4. Knowledge of Game Industry

5. Experience in IT project management
