Dev-Ops Engineer

Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for Dev-Ops Engineers. These individuals will provide assistance and support to the Web Services group as well as our game development team.

Reports To

Lead Dev-Ops Engineer.

What will you do?

• Deploy, configure and maintain multiple web servers containing numerous game infrastructure services
• Monitor service availability and performance
• Manage performance improvement
• Provide fast and effective diagnostics and resolution of problems arising out of daily web services usage
• Solve issues effectively with minimal possible downtime
• Manage automation of processes and daily routines
• Interact with game team on various tasks that lie between game servers and web
• Take primary ownership of staging environments and work across multiple teams to deliver applications to production
• Production on call duties as level 2 support

What are we looking for?

• Experience of Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) administration and operation
• Solid shell scripting experience (sh/bash)
• Knowledge and ability to use basic Linux commands
• Experience with web servers like Apache or Nginx
• SQL language—query creation and optimization
• Knowledge of Python is preferable, however, experience with other languages such as Perl/PHP/Ruby are acceptable
• BS in Computer Science or similar experience

• Django and Fabric
• RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with supporting a production environment
