What You'll Do
You are a highly organized, usability-focused, and data-driven designer that loves to solve complex problems for different types of users. As part of a Player Experience team, you will have the rare opportunity to lead design work on web-based products to serve both the agents of an internal support tool and a player-facing support site.
In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of designers, crafting and maintaining a product vision for both products while building a design process for continuous delivery, maturing the products to solve the problems of millions of players and helping thousands of agents to work more efficiently and productively.
In this role, you will
- Be the owner and driving force of the UX design requirements and product vision
- Work autonomously, balancing priorities between a player-facing self-service portal and an internal player support tool
- Lead a team of designers by example, advocating the use of Epic’s design systems, principles, and processes for cross-disciplinary product design
- Be involved in every step of the design process, from requirement gathering and discovery to final design delivery
- Use real-life data to drive decision-making and feature prioritization
- Communicate with stakeholders, product managers, producers, and developers to deliver high-quality designs that are aligned with Epic’s goals and priorities
- Communicate with other designers and teams in Epic building similar tools, giving guidance and direction on best practices
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of real-world experience in a design role in a tech environment
- Demonstrated understanding of productivity tools, design research, usability, accessibility, UI and UX design
- Pixel-perfect attention to detail
- Indisputable expert-level understanding of Figma; working knowledge of html/css/js
- Strong knowledge of design & development processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for productivity tools about new technologies and processes within the field of design technology
- You’re user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-oriented, and innovative — these traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do
