Delivery Lead (Product)
Ustwo is looking for a seasoned lead level project manager who has delivered digital products, working closely with clients to explore concepts, build prototypes and see-through complex digital products.
As Delivery Lead, you will have delivered a variety of projects, requiring you to learn and apply a range of delivery methods, many of them utilizing agile principles or practices to meet success with your team and your clients. You are a person your team can rely on to guide team thinking and decision making, and you’re a rock that your team can stand by when your project encounters risks, issues, or requires you to lead clear discussion and problem solving with your client.
You know the conditions you and your team need for a successful project engagement and are an expert at crafting a project plan, statement of work (and supporting documentation), and ways of working approach to ensure your project is set up to flourish.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Intake, scope, cast, manage, and deliver projects and products with the quality and consideration clients expect from ustwo.
- Deliver full product life cycles or short, experimental pilots for clients. With a solid foundation of agile thinking and principles, you’ll determine the right approach for the team, client, and project.
- Create an environment and structure for teams to thrive and progress in. This will be supported by clear project communication, efficient use of project tools and hygienic processes for handling project risk, escalation, and change requests.
- Facilitate and help drive internal and client-facing workshops and retrospectives.
- Be heavily client-facing, responsible for the face, direction and overall health of the account.
- Lead client relationships from the perspective of project management and project hygiene.
- Be responsible for the operational considerations relating to the quality of your project. This includes project documentation, estimation, tracking of project burn, project budgeting, management of issues, and ownership of project shut down.
- Take responsibility for managing and prioritizing multiple stakeholders, including clients, partners, and third parties you may need to engage.
YOUR SKILLS
- Taking an operational mindset. You know how to run your interactions with teams, clients, and your tools in order to keep your project on track and the quality at the forefront. You use this same mindset to escalate and communicate to team leads as needed.
- Driven and dependable. You care passionately about the work you commit to and strive to meet the standards you set. Your team knows they can come to you based on the framework of the project and the interaction patterns you have established.
- Balancing the tightrope. You take client and team requests and create forums for discussion to help prioritize and make decisions that do right by the project and people.
- The Project is your garden. You tend to the details as needed but always know the overall status and most urgent needs of a project.
- A digital native. There’s no question of your interest in digital and you probably want to create something in a way you haven’t even conceived yet, at the boundaries of technology and imagination.
- Producing clear reading. Reports, emails, statuses will all be second nature and have the right balance of action imperative and detail to make considered decisions or promote awareness.
- Project Retrospectives. These are fascinating and fundamental opportunities for you to learn and make tomorrow a better project. You wouldn’t leave a project without one.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- At least 8 years’ experience delivering work (at an agency, studio, or similar) that has inspired clients and multi-disciplinary teams, imbued in digital and focused on creating compelling consumer experiences.
- Delivered at least one major project you feel proud of and that speaks to your career development to date. Delivered a range of smaller pieces that helped grow your thinking and approaches to delivering work with clients.
- A practitioner and advocate of agile methods to work with teams, clients and get the work done.
BENEFITS
- Paid Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance
- 401k with up to 5% company matching
- Transit and Health FSA programs
- Citibike and Zipcar memberships
- Paid parental leave
- Flexible work hours
