Data Scientist

The OTO team, now part of Unity, builds and deploy state-of-the-art acoustic signal processing and natural language understanding methods to gain insights into latent speaker states and events in real-world conversations. The challenge we are taking on revolves around moderating toxicity to make games safer, on a global scale!

As part of our growth following the acquisition of OTO, we are looking for a data scientist to help create data exploration and modelling pipelines to deal with noisy, real-world spoken conversations. This role, primarily based in Zurich, Switzerland (with a possibility of remote work), is a unique opportunity to have an impact on billions of gamers worldwide, and grow in an open and supporting professional setting.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and deploy data exploration and modelling pipelines
• Train machine learning models to recognise toxic behaviours in spoken audio samples
• Present and discuss your results with your teammates
• Collaborate with engineering and product team members to implement your designs and solutions into customer-facing products

What we’re looking for

• Experience with modern data science tools and frameworks
• Proficiency in Python
• Abilities to communicate technical ideas and progress to a diverse audience

You might also have

• Experience with analysis and modelling of audio signal
• Experience in speech recognition and/or or acoustic scene classification
• MSc/PhD degree in a computational subject area
