Job Description
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE
As a data scientist, you will take part in developing Ubisoft Singapore’s best practices, from cleaning to processing and storing data. In addition, you will build and develop machine learning pipelines through different frameworks. You will work with other teams such as marketing, customer success, and operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work with stakeholders throughout the studio to identify opportunities for leveraging the studio and game data to drive business solutions;
- Mine and analyze data from studio and game data to drive optimization and improve the game development, marketing and business strategies;
- Assess the effectiveness of and accuracy of data gathering techniques.
- Develop models to increase and optimize gamers experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcome;
- Coordinate with different other teams within the studio to implement machine learning models and monitor outcomes;
- Build a strong understanding of Ubisoft data ecosystems;
- Become one of the ambassadors of the studio data culture program;
- Publish research and white papers in internal and external conferences.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development;You should have at least 3 years of experience in data science projects, marketing analytics or business analytics;
- A Master’s degree or a PhD from a leading University in a technical area: Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering;
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage etc.) and experience with applications;
- Knowledge of variable machine learning and data mining techniques
- Clustering, decision tree learning, association rule mining, boosting, random forest, deep learning;
- You should be a highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record of project delivery, team leadership, and business growth;
- You have a passion for detail, data and statistics in general;
- Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: C,C++,Python and R;
- It would be a distinct advantage to have hands-on experience in the analysis of a broad variety of digital data (web, social, game data, for example);
- Relevant degree PHD or Master with focus on data, ideally combined with computer science or game development or an interest in data, in a game development environment;
- Drive, enthusiasm and insight into gaming and software development to be able to push our platform to the next level, by utilizing their analytical mind-set in collaboration with gaming experience;
- Experience in R&D, especially with the experience in developing tools for business needs, business statistic and to drive analytic innovation.
