Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Data Scientist in San Diego, CA to develop data automation, data pipeline, and fully automated machine learning framework on fraud and risk platforms. Requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience performing large scale data manipulation and pre-process raw data for relational databases and structured data format, including Hadoop, Hive, SQL, and MySQL, to assess, clean, merge, and analyze large data sets from different data warehouse sources. Prior experience must include at least two (2) years of experience utilizing advanced machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning applied to feature selection, dimensionality reduction, hyper-parameter tuning, model optimization, and statistics inferences driven by business problems; monitoring model performance tracking and validation on sensitivity analysis for model predictive power; identifying best model candidate based on optimization of KPI metrics, including AUC, precision, recall, F1, KS statistics, log-loss, overall misclassification error rate, false positive, and false negative; utilizing K-fold cross-validated sample and out-of-time hold-out sample to generate independent score distribution for internal validity of model generalization; monitoring robustness, stability, and reliability of final model variables to identify and interpret contribution and impact from individual predictors; and utilizing advanced statistical software to develop linear/non-linear, parametric/non-parametric, classical statistical methods, modern machine learning-based predictive modeling techniques, and data mining analytic methodologies.
