Gram Games is the studio behind some of the most popular mobile titles in the world like Merge Dragons!, Merge Magic!, 1010!, and we have more exciting projects in the pipeline. As our project portfolio is growing, we now are looking for a Data Scientist to join us at Gram Games, Istanbul Studio.
As a Data Scientist here at Gram, you would act as our data guru. All things at Gram are data-driven. You will be responsible for interpreting data to change the way we think and the way we design. Your role will be multifaceted. You’ll be responsible for creating statistical models to solve problems, innovate, and help us create the best games in the world. You’ll work with our production teams to integrate data into our production systems and ensure that we are best leveraging data and insights at all stages in our production process. It will be your job to steer the ship. Think you’ve got what it takes?
Requirements
Technically, we are looking for a Data Scientist who:
- has a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- is skilled in SQL and comfortable using either R or Python in their day-to-day work.
- has at least 1+ years of experience with transforming large amounts of raw data into actionable intelligence critical to business decisions.
- has at least 1+ years of experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling.
- demonstrates knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, clustering, classification techniques, and algorithms.
- understands the distinction between correlation and causation, can identify and manage biases in data, and understands the implications of sample size on the interpretation of results.
- is skilled in A/B testing processes.
- possesses a background in hands-on statistical analysis and is familiar with core statistical techniques.
- has experience using and creating dashboards with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Sisense, Looker, etc.
- is familiar with Big Data frameworks such as Cassandra, Hadoop, and Spark.
- has a passion for video games and an understanding of the mobile free-to-play games industry
- possesses excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
It would be great if you also had…
- ...a MSc or Ph.D. in the relevant field
- ...3+ years of experience in data analytics, especially in big data environments.
Responsibilities
- Developing advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve complex problems and drive innovation in game development.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data science models into production systems and optimize decision-making processes.
- Analyzing large and diverse datasets to extract actionable insights and trends related to player experience and game performance.
- Designing and implementing A/B tests to evaluate and optimize various game features and mechanics for enhanced player engagement and retention.
