Data Engineer

Rooster Teeth is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Austin-based Engineering team. This individual will partner with our existing data team, as well as our extended team of front-end and backend engineers to optimize Rooster Teeth’s data ecosystem, and help drive the ongoing growth and evolution of Roosterteeth.com and related app experiences.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain data pipelines
Create and maintain ETL processes to be used by reporting
Facilitate external data API integrations
Coordinate with other engineers to standardize event collection across platforms
Assist in QA of data lake/warehouse data

Qualifications:

2+ years experience in a Data Engineer role
Production experience with AirFlow, Spark, AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Red Shift)
High proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines, architectures, and data sets
Experience building and optimizing ETL processes
B.S. Computer Science, related field, or equivalent professional experience
