Playtika is looking for a Java/Scala Data Engineer to work within the technology division!

You will work with many exciting technologies like Apache Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Hadoop, Vertica, and Kubernetes to name a few.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable robust data infrastructure to be extensively and easily used by internal customers (DS, BI) and are designed to enable growth (data customization, real time pipelines, data governance, monitoring model KPI service, etc
- Develop distributed data pipelines and complex software designs to support high data rates. Participate in creating LLDs based on HLDs composed by architects. Implement and debug an accurate and production-ready delivery.
- Responsible for work methodologies and tools, setting coding and coding review standards, testing standards, interfaces, hand-over procedures with internal customers, building and release management processes, etc.
- Bear full responsibility for QA of the developed feature writes and runs a variety of tests according to accepted standards.
- Owns his "stories'', provides visibility and takes part in sprint planning and demos in cooperation with a TPO. Requests additional information and clarifications needed for timely execution, notify about risks, expected delays, or road blockers in order to enable meeting the sprint deadlines
- Serves as a gatekeeper of the service E2E. Debugging and troubleshooting the ongoing development and production issues.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the company like data developers, data science, product owners, etc., to understand business priorities and translate requirements in order to deliver tasks.
- Working in close collaboration with other professionals such as architects and other engineers to create high-quality deliverables and to provide guidance and support for the developed products and technologies.
Requirements
- B.Sc in Computer Science, a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer.
- Experienced with current SW development practices (SCRUM, Unit tests, source control, CI/CD).
- Experience in software development and code optimization.
- Experience with general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Java, Python, Scala
- Experience working with Data Bases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Familiarity working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, HDFS, Airflow, HBase, etc.
- Experience with UNIX shell scripting to automate routine tasks.
- Experience with large-scale production systems.
- Experience with training, testing, deployment, and monitoring real-time (or near real-time) machine learning models in production - Advantage
