Data Engineer

The mission of the Data Engineering team is to empower others to make smarter data-informed decisions that drive efficiency, velocity, and autonomy across the business.
As one of the initial team-members of a newly formed team, you’ll be trusted to to build out the data ETL framework required to support all data needs throughout the business.
Together with people at all levels of the company, you will influence upstream, by understanding how data is created and consequently building intuitive reporting. You will also be expected to work downstream, to support business managers drive strategy and operations through the insights we create.
Areas of impact
- Work upstream, optimise how data is created, ingested and stored
- Work downstream, support the business drive data strategy
- Provide the business a solid foundation to create powerful reporting
- Assist, coach and lead other teams to make the best use of the data
We would like to hear from you if you identify with the following
- Extensive experience developing data ETL framework and building datalakes
- Expertise in utilising APIs to pull information from various sources
- Solid foundation in SQL
- Experience in programming languages such as Python or Ruby
- Experience with Google BigQuery or an equivalent cloud SQL warehouse
- Ability to translate business needs into data and database specifications
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
