Ubisoft Connect is the ecosystem of player services for Ubisoft games across all platforms. It aims at giving the best environment for all players to enjoy their games and connect with each other on any device.
As a Data Engineer at Massive you’ll have a direct impact on our data quality, empowering key stakeholders to make data-guided decisions and ensure Ubisoft Connect's long-term success. You’ll get the chance to develop large datasets, streamline our processes, and help us continually migrate to the latest tech. To achieve this you'll be collaborating with Data Engineers (Ubi-gobal), Developers, & Analysts, whilst being supported by Technical managers & Product Owners.

What you'll be doing:
- Developing, maintaining, and creating optimal data pipeline architecture;
- Maximizing the utility of our existing infrastructure and extensions to come;
- Designing and building ETLs from a wide variety of sources;
- Identifying, designing, and implementing automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, unit tests, and additional solutions;
- Realizing prototypes developed by the analytics team into scalable and robust solutions to be used by internal & external clients/applications.

Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following experience and hard skills:
- Professional experience as a Data Engineer or related specialty (e.g. Software Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer);
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related field or the equivalent industry experience;
- Advanced working knowledge with SQL;
- A good foundation with object-orientated programming (OOP), using Python and/or other languages (Scala, Java etc.);
- Experience with data modeling: building data products incrementally and integrating/managing datasets from multiple sources;
- Familiar with message queuing (e.g. Kafka), stream processing (e.g. Spark), and highly scalable ‘big data’ stores (Hadoop);
- Familiar with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow).
We know a perfect fit is hard to come by, but it will be a bonus if you're also familiar with the following:
- Working knowledge with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure);
- Familiar with build (e.g. GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins etc.) and monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Kibana, Looker etc.);
- Familiar with systems architecture (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Knowledge of agile concepts and methodology.
