We are hiring a Data Engineering Intern for our Localization Data & AI team. Loc Data & AI ́s mission is to support and foster the use of data from all perspectives, along with the development of policies and procedures for the monitoring and active management of data in EA Localization. And our means include building data engineering products and solutions, such as integrating data from various sources such as APIs, databases, and file systems.
This includes an understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about applying Data Engineering techniques to real-world problems. Our intern will help us research and solve new problems, so we’re looking for someone who has the creativity to research new solutions, and who has the drive to see their project through to completion. As an intern at EA, you will work closely with your mentor to learn about your project, receive guidance, and share your work. You’ll have
opportunities to meet other interns at EA, work with stakeholders, and present your work to leaders at EA.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and organize raw data.
  • Build data systems and pipelines.
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives.
  • Interpret trends and patterns.
  • Conduct complex data analysis and report on results.
  • Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
  • Communicate and present results to business leaders, product managers, data scientists, analysts, and others throughout the organization.
  • Implement and share new methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • STEM-related major.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Programming: Python, Java or Scala,
  • Experience with data storage technologies such as relational databases, NoSQL
  • databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Cloud computing: knowledge of cloud computing platform Amazon Web Services
  • (AWS).
  • Strong ability to build partnerships and collaboration across teams.
  • A willingness to learn, share, and improve.
  • Interest in games is a big plus.
