Data Architect

Description

Playtika is looking for Data Architect to join our Kyiv office on a full-time basis.

As a Data Architect, you will develop software high-level description with attention to data and system integration, data modeling, and feasibility, collaborate with Product Owners, BI, and Development Team Leads to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications, and provide technical guidance and coaching to BI engineers, developers, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Determining best fit architectural design;
• Researching for new technologies;
• Collaborating with other departments in order to fully cover business needs;
• Perform in-deep technical consultation of developers;
• Writing well-documented high-level technical documents/specifications;
• Supporting teams on implementation and integrations, perform code reviews;
• Working on complex problems and performance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• At least 10 years of practical experience in the development
• At least 2 years in data architect/tech lead position
• Good knowledge of architecture/design patterns and styles
• Experience in creating a design for new applications/projects
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycle across data warehouses, relational databases, operational data stores, BI reporting, and big data analytics.
• Experience creating conceptual and logical data models
• Expert knowledge of Java or Scala
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database
• Extract, Transformation, Load (ETL) development skills
• Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data (Data Lakes)
• Experience with data warehouses (Vertica, Hive)
• Proven technical writing skills
• Experience working with source control systems, code review systems
• Experience working with continuous integration and delivery systems, code quality automation systems
• Experience working with debugging/profiling tools, ability to resolve performance issues
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
• Understanding SDLC and best practices as gitops
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Python knowledge is a plus
• Experience with any of the following is a plus: Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Hadoop
