Data Analytics Lead

A bit about the company/role:
$100bn was spent on in-game items last year. $0 went to players. We believe that games should provide more than just entertainment value for the time and money invested. At Immutable, we are combining blockchain technology and gaming expertise to solve this problem. Specifically, blockchain allows players to truly own their in-game items and to sell items for real money.
Data plays a key role in how we operate and make decisions. As the Data and Analytics Lead at Immutable you will build out and scale the data & analytics function to maximise the value we generate from our data
You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and grow an outcome focussed data & analytics team through managing recruiting, staffing and mentoring
- Define and implement data analytics best practices to ensure that insights are timely, robust, repeatable, and trust-worthy
- Take ownership of and continuously improve our data stack which includes AWS Athena, Looker and Amplitude
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (eg. marketing, product, sales) to address gaps in our understanding of Immutable’s users and their behaviour
- Identify actionable insights through funnels, cohort analyses, user segmentation, retention analysis, and models to help us grow our community
- Design and evaluate A/B tests and product feature experiments to determine the effectiveness of product strategy
What you’ll have:
- A solid grasp of common statistical methods and applications (A/B testing, time series analysis, forecasting and regression)
- Ability to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using data access tools and building dashboards and analyses with large datasets and multiple data sources
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting data engineering and analytics solutions using AWS and other cloud-based tools Advanced experience with SQL and Python
- People management experience
- Business intuition and strong project management skills
- A keen sense of the importance of data privacy
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
- Experience with Looker, Amplitude
- Experience with AWS
- Expertise in event instrumentation
