WGames is a data-driven company that has integrated data in all its key decision-making processes. Its because of this reason, the role of data analyst requires that the candidate go far beyond simple reporting and delivering high level analysis. Instead, the data analyst will be a core part in the decision-making process, where they will autonomously propose, construct, and deliver data solutions that will have a real impact on our games.
Key Responsibilities
The data analyst will work closely with relevant parties across the company and will interact with the entire data pipeline, data collection, ETL, visualization and automation of reports, as part of the game production team and working under the supervision of the VP of Product Management. The candidate will have to handle vast amounts of user data and use it to model, predict and segment it, with the goal of delivering clear actionable insight
- Mine, organize and analyze user behavior to assist in providing strategic insights and actionable items for Marketing, Monetization and Executive teams.
- Delivering ongoing large-scale analysis as well as performance monitoring dashboard from multiple data sources, that result in actionable insights for the team
- Debugging and resolving issues to ensure the delivery of accurate metrics
- Empower teams to make data-informed, evidence-based decisions through the development and maintenance of periodic reports, datasets for statistical or forecasting models.
- Play games and generate ideas for user engagement and monetization strategies in gaming
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in quantitative area, preferably Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar analysis-driven discipline.
- Excellent SQL skills, working knowledge of Python or R.
- Highly analytical with great attention to detail, with advanced knowledge of statistical methods
- Experience dealing with large datasets in a production environment (not educational setting) in ecommerce or games (preferably freemium)
- Passion for analytics-able to use data to tell a story, rather than merely producing reports.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet ever-changing deadlines and handle priorities for multiple projects at once
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working in both individual and team settings
Preferred Experience Level
- 2-3 years of relevant experience doing quantitative analysis, preferably for an Internet or technology company
- Advanced skills with data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Looker ggplot, matplotlib, plotly or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud BigQuery.
- Familiarity with machine-learning techniques
