Data Analyst

Job Description

The Ubisoft Data Office team is looking for a Data Analyst in the Player & Customer Management team, which is responsible for aggregating game and customer relationship data. For the centralization and transformation of the group's data, and to enhance their Global Data Platform, the department works with Hadoop/Snowflake technologies. It currently relies on Tableau for reporting and data visualization.

Your role will be to bridge the gap between business and technical teams to transform business needs into effective and sustainable data solutions.

Working with Agile methodology, you will analyze the needs of our internal partners, participate in the development of solutions and then test, document and present them. These responsibilities are carried out in active collaboration with functional and technical leads, developers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, synthesize and communicate business information from business teams to the technical teams and vice versa;
• Facilitate and participate in workshops and meetings with clients, stakeholders and end users in order to analyze their problems, contexts and needs;
• Gather, understand and analyze business requirements into functional and technical specifications;
• Validate the specifications with developers and architects;
• Develop and implement test cases to assure data quality as part of the project delivery;
• Develop complex SQL queries to ask questions of large/complex datasets;
• Participate to reporting activities and data visualization;
• Provide project documentation and perform demos to end users;
• Participate to support activities for users on the BI platforms;

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills in the context of data warehousing;
• Experience in analyzing business requirements to functional specification with attention to details;
• Experience in collaborating with internal and external partners;
• Experience in creating reports and dashboards using data visualization software packages (eg. Tableau);
• Experience in the following technologies: SQL, Python, R, ETL or other programming languages;
• Knowledge in Big Data.
