Job Description
As a member of the Data and Analytics technological group, you will help develop solutions that will enable Ubisoft teams to capitalize on player data and support decisions that will improve our games and our players' experience while maintaining the company's strategic direction.
In your role as Data Analyst, you will put your expertise and analytical and technical skills at the service of our multidisciplinary teams, which include full stack developers and data engineers, to assist in designing and communicating performance indicators for our games and in developing technological solutions.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference through ambitious, innovative and high value-added projects for the entire company.
What you'll do
- Work and innovate with the development team on a daily basis, offering original analytical and technical expertise on our game data and products to create relevant and enduring solutions for our users
- Act as a key point of contact for our users and partners from the Ubisoft analytical community and communicate their needs to your team
- Undertake quantitative analyses and implement exploratory analytical tools upstream of our developments to prepare for and guide our future solutions
- Work with the group's data scientists to help develop analytical methods and methodologies and identify value-added opportunities for our products
- Help implement tools to monitor and interpret solutions developed by the team
Qualifications
What you bring
- Undergraduate degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or an equivalent discipline
- Three to five years' experience in a data analyst role
- A passion for applying analytical solutions to innovative products to create new standards at Ubisoft
- You must have a broad range of data analysis experience, including in several of the following areas:
- Experience in analyzing large data sets
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Kibana and any other relevant tools)
- A strong command of one or several data analysis languages (SQL, R, Python, Scala, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of relational database systems, such as SQL, Cassandra, Hive, HBase, Elasticsearch, Kudu, etc.
- Understanding of distributed computation frameworks such as Spark, Storm, etc.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary development team with extensive knowledge of Agile principles
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to work independently and proactively seek out new challenges for your team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and share expertise
