Data Analyst - QA

The Funcom team consists of over 400 people located in 4 studios - Norway, the US, Portugal, Sweden, a newly opened Romania studio. As part of Funcom’s ongoing growth, and completing a successful turnaround, Funcom is now backed by Tencent, the largest online gaming company in the world!
Now, our QA department in Bucharest, Romania needs an experienced Data Analyst to support both our management and QA teams.
Your Mission in Funcom
The QA Data Analyst, together with QA leads and the lead game data analyst, will support the QA leadership team in understanding and interpreting the data from different sources and platforms. The QA Data Analyst will focus on building quantitative and qualitative analytics and reports, leveraging game development data to optimize different QA flows, processes and team allocation. They will help the QA leadership team to build further action plans, and act as the single point of contact for all QA data management.
How you can have an impact in your position:
- Translate data from different sources and insights (internal and external) into meaningful visualizations and stories by designing, developing, and executing dashboards and reports to drive decision-making at all levels
- Maintain QA data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data in all QA platforms
- Automate QA data processes
- Align the QA data management and governance with the general data management/governance in Funcom
- Maintain, optimize and update QA data tools and platforms
- Develop & maintain a QA data glossary
- Audit QA data and troubleshoot irregularities
- Recommend and make decisions on QA systems and platforms functionality escalating issues with significant risk/implication
We are looking for someone that has:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operational Research, Business Intelligence, or any other relevant field).
- 2 or more years of experience in data analytics - extended experience in collecting, compiling, and analysing data to offer actionable insights to the business
- Understanding of key QA processes and practices
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques, languages, software, and systems (R, Python, Excel, Access).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and tools like Google Cloud Platform and AWS and proficiency in SQL (or a SQL-like language).

- Able to spot patterns
- Experience working in the game development industry
- Accuracy when compiling data and working on reports
- Collaborative and able to work with different type of stakeholders
- Having been exposed to cultural globalization and cultural diversity
- Both excellent proactive and reactive communication skills, with a strong ability to present insights
- Great English language skills (verbally and in writing)
