GSN Games is looking for a Data Analyst to join our WorldWinner team in Boston!
About the GSN Games Skill Studio :
Take on cash tournaments and help transform real-money gaming with WorldWinner.com and the WorldWinner app. WorldWinner offers a wide and ever-changing variety of tournaments within multiple game titles for game enthusiasts of all skill levels.
What You'll Do :
In this role, you will be the third member of the growing WorldWinner Analytics team to help enable the studio to make data-driven decisions across all business functions. You will design and craft Tableau dashboards by writing SQL that will allow the team to monitor performance and answer key business questions.
The key areas the team focuses on are product games, product features, user acquisition, and marketing. Our team’s goal is to help the studio to achieve its goals by providing data driven insights. We primarily look to help draw conclusions from user transactional data, game play and interactions with our app.
About the Role :
- Write SQL queries.
- Collect and interpret player data to analyze our in-game economy and tournament offerings.
- Participate in AB testing process, from design to review. Learn significance testing and evaluate client events. Analyze the results of our tests and help drive process and app improvements.
- Cross-functional support of various teams (Marketing, User Acquisition, Product, Games, and more) – there is opportunity to work on projects across many areas of the business.
- Learn about our data structure, assist in improving our processes, data flow, documentation, tables & reports and grow into a team data leader.
- Design, create, modify, and update various Tableau dashboards.
- Identify general patterns and trends in data sets.
About You :

- BS Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar field desired. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 2-4 years working in a data analysis role.
- Experience and proficiency with SQL required. You will need the ability to write your own code.
- Tableau or comparable data visualization software (ex: PowerBI) experience.

Bonus Points :
- Understanding of user acquisition, retention and monetization – specifically if you have worked with an MMP (Kochava preferred).
- Experience in A/B testing and other statistical evaluations or concepts.
- Familiarity with iOS, Android, or Facebook games marketplaces, design trends and analytics best practices.
- Experience in the free-to-play gaming industry, social casino games, online gambling or other similar related industry experience.
