Data Analyst - Body Coach - 3 month contract starting ASAP
We are looking for a freelance Data Analyst to work collaboratively with the business, product, strategy and design to provide insights based on the data we collect. The Data analyst needs to have strong technical abilities to retrieve, manipulate, analyse, and visualise data as well as excellent communication capabilities as one of the key requirements of the role is to be able to collaborate with stakeholders across product, design, business, and marketing.
We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 3 month contract. We can wait for a short notice period of max 1-2 weeks.

Core responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product and design to track and analyse key behavioural insights that inform design and product decisions
- Query data and merge information from diverse data sources to create datasets that enable the team to make better decisions
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, business partners, and research teams to understand business problem
- Analyse data to find meaningful patterns and trends that help us improve our offering to customers
- Draw valid inferences to find trends and insights over time helping the team to identify problem spaces or areas of opportunity (e.g. efficacy)
- Support the continuous discovery process by working with product, strategy and design to conduct data analysis with the view of answering specific questions
- Monitor the impact of new products and services launched and help inform modifications or changes as required
- Work with the business and strategy team to track key product and business performance indicators
- Based on the initial ad-hoc analysis, help create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations that will be used by various stakeholders on a day to day basis
- We use Google Analytics (GA4) but we don't have any other tools set up. We need you to take raw data from key sources and translate into actionable insights for the business. Other than using Data Studio, GA4 and Excel we would be happy for you to inform the tools you prefer to use/think are most suitable.
Bonus:
- Identify, evaluate and implement any (additional) 3rd party services and tools to both support data validation and cleansing as well as reporting and analysis
- to continuously monitor and audit data quality
- to develop and support reporting processes by partner with leadership, engineers, product managers and data engineers to understand data needs (incl. in the future maintaining automated data processes)
- Competitor benchmarking
- Design and carry out surveys and analyse survey data
Working practices
- Experience working with an Agile process
- Working with a cross discipline team of designers, strategists and product managers to ensure delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget
- Understand and where appropriate challenge requirements to champion user needs and support product and business objectives
- Maintain awareness and mitigation of project risk
- Communicate effectively with others to ensure clients and stakeholders are engaged; validate and monitor quality output
- Understand clients’ needs and work within those constraints
- Clearly present various stages of data analysis to help influence and gain support from the business owners, team members and stakeholders of all levels
- The ability to deal with pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
