This role will have hands on experience in leading quality game design and development. You are responsible for generating new ideas or bring the great ideas from other games, merging them into ours organically and translate them into production. You will own the overall creative design discipline and expertise of the studio and ensure the fun factors in games. It is a leadership role, which provide regular direction, mentoring and coaching to all designers across studio. You are also responsible for performance stability and ensure the continuous evolving and knowledge sharing within the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to generate new designs with purpose of keeping the refreshing gaming experience within live games and balanced in-game economy
- Actively create and evaluate new concepts or prototypes for possible future products
- Solves problem related to game design across games for live / developing projects
- Hire, mentor, develop and supervise all the designers in the studio.
- Maintaining the balance of the designer team, identify key personal and ensure their stability
- Organize knowledge sharing meetings within the team
Requirements
- University degree in game design, psychology, or comparable qualification
- 6+ years’ experience in creative game development, especially oversee game creative vision
- Expert in in-game economy and system design
- Expert in gameplay prototyping, able to create game prototype
- Excellent leadership skills, able to motivate teams and individuals, encourage ownership, recognize good talent, and bring out the best of each employee
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to manage conflict
- Proactive and stress-resistant, excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to work under constantly changing conditions and tight deadlines
- Strong time management, accountability, and organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Passion for games
- Fluent in written and spoken English
