QA Team Lead

We are looking for a curious Lead that can help us continually build quality into our software development. Our team’s mission is to get Unity into the hands of our customers faster and at a higher quality and we need your help.

This role is technical, as Customer QA Team Lead you will be focused on the team’s effectiveness and impact. Core to the role is directing and managing daily tasks, teaching and mentoring about the technical notions as well as establishing knowledge transfer and maintaining skill levels across the team.

You’ll be part of a group working to identify and implement the best methods to drive an effective and consistent impact for our Unity customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical/coding assistance and mentoring to team members
• Assessment and hiring for open vacancies
• Training and onboarding of new starters
• Providing feedback on the effectiveness of internal processes
• Establishing, implementing and managing goals specific to the team
• Evaluating the performance of team members and helping them to improve
• Working together with other leads and team manager to continually optimize and ensure team direction is relevant and impactful

Requirements

• You have previous experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C#
• You have experience in leading teams
• You are confident in communicating with colleagues and customers in English
• You are self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a low hierarchical environment

Bonus points

• Experience using Unity or other game engines
• Previous experience with testing software
