As a Creative Lead, you will oversee the local creative strategy and creative vision/direction of publishing projects for each game titles. This is a key role as a branding hub between regional and local offices to drive hyper-local execution under the global-based brand principles. This role requires brand management skills, "glocalization” capabilities and creative background and crafts, art trend sensibilities, orchestration skills with great collaborations & communications by working with various internal teams and third-party creative agencies.
Creative Lead is a pivotal member of the Marketing Service team, to deliver the horizontal creative impact across other marketing service managers (Comms, Social, Influencers, Communities) as well as brand managers (MOBA, Action, Strategy, Entertainment).
As a Rioter in Tokyo, you’ll join a tight-knit group of exceptionally bright-minded individuals who share our prioritization of player experience, rejection of convention, and passion for gaming. You will report to the marketing lead as a member of the marketing service group. Riot Games Japan is dedicated to creating tailored player experiences that show local players they aren’t lost in translation.
YOU ARE
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, design, art or a related field and/or similar work experience. Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator. Game design is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence a team about creative materials and executions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey creative concepts and ideas.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Native Japanese and business level or above English language proficiency.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices for creative initiatives.
- Work experience in the entertainment industry will be a plus.
YOU WILL
- Successfully plan and execute brand and marketing creative initiatives of Riot’s multi-products.
- Drive local creative campaigns that can further bolster the key campaign beats of each product.
- Manage various on/offline creative planning and executions to reinforce player engagement for each product.
- Direct effective project executions with professional creative agencies and productions.
- Lead digital video content productions that not only accurately reflect each product's content marketing strategy but elevate it to a new level.
- Responsible for art, design, and writing assets for quality and adherence to the creative vision. And supporting the design element of internal communication.
- Actively monitor the latest content trends and environment to suggest innovative ideas that hit the mark in culturally-relevant ways, especially for the next generation of Japanese gamers as well as fans of entertainment content.
- Lead a team of vendors, contractors and Rioters as well as manage and assess their performance on a day-to-day basis
