Summary
Aristocrat has established itself as a leader in digital casino gaming over the past decade. To strengthen it further, it is expanding digital gaming in iGaming domain. Aristocrat India is participating in this opportunity under leadership of Rakesh Mendiratta to establish a new team to pursue this business initiative.
The purpose of this internal job posting is to be build strong end to end gaming art asset development and delivery team for this upcoming exciting initiative. The Candidate will manage the day-to-day operations, leading this team in India comprising of artist, illustrators and animators.
The Person will work closely with all Stakeholders to work on both Strategic and Tactical levels while guiding the delivery of Projects throughout their life cycle.What you'll do
- Build team and enhance its competencies to deliver Digital Real Money Games as per business requirements in fast changing exciting environment.
- Creatively lead the team and provide feedback on art assets which go well with game concepts and paint the vision on digital canvas which Game Designer has envisioned.
- Lead the art development effort while coordinating with various stakeholders like Project Manager, Creative Director, Engineering, Test Leads and Technology Group across India and US.
- Setup development and quality processes. Regularly monitor and improve the timeliness, productivity, and quality of deliverables.
- Participate in planning activities - Identify dependencies and follow up to their resolution. Identify and raise risks in a timely manner and take necessary action to mitigate the same.
- Ensure timely deliveries with agreed quality of all the tasks undertaken by the team.
- Hiring and onboarding of new members of the team.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members through regular communication and performance appraisals to maintain a culture of high-performance energetic team.
- Identify Training needs of the team and to execute the training plan to constantly enhance the skill levels of the team.
- Work with Sr. Management to accomplish business goals.
- Develop/Update artwork and animation for digital gaming projects
- Focus on Content implementation pipeline
- Ensure relevant processes in regard to asset management, file organization, output configuration is clearly and correctly executed
- Schedule and manage time efficiently – work with agile development leaders to plan work
- Deliver assets on time to specification with a thorough and complete attention to detail
- Responsible for having peer reviews to check work for accuracy and quality
- Various other duties includes:
- Game Documentation as per business need
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve the highest quality games possible
- Follow guidelines set by management to manage / develop art assets to support business
- Bring in ideas/innovations to improve the overall testing process in terms of tools, processes etc.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience; At least 2 years’ experience in People and Engineering Management with minimum of 5 team members.
- Bachelor’s degree/BFA/MFA or equivalent work 5-8 yrs work experience in digital gaming as technical artist
- Expertise in the full software/project life cycle, including specifications, requirements analysis, design/architecture, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Experience in managing team developing digital gaming content will be a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree/BFA/MFA or equivalent work 5-8 yrs work experience in digital gaming as technical artist
- Must have strong experience in Adobe products (After Effects and Photoshop)
- Strong knowledge of 2D Graphics
- Understanding of After Effects and animation principles will be a plus.
- Good knowledge of any scripting language to automate Artist tools as After Effects plug-in
- Experience in using Assets control systems (Perforce) and Microsoft Office Suite will be a plus.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies will be a plus.
- Prior experience in the digital or social gaming industry will be a plus.
- A good eye for attention to detail and be willing to follow technical/compliance specifications.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders
- Suggests ideas to improve the overall testing process in terms of tools, processes, test cases etc.
