Your Opportunity:
- Own the entire process of design within the product.
- Own the design of interlocking systems, guiding individual designers through the process of creating these designs and merging them together.
- Expected to give and organize consistent and constructive critique on the quality of the game’s design.
- Own the discipline expectations of the design team and ensure they are being delivered upon.
- Drive the design team to create consistent, high quality designs/implementations that don’t block or reboot other departments, all within industry standard timelines.
Why You're Made For This:
- Previously experienced in this role at a AAA developer.
- Successful history of interaction with other development disciplines (e.g. design interactions with engineering, art, production).
- Experienced with managing senior and junior designers across multiple design disciplines (e.g. level design, technical design, progression, single player, multiplayer, etc.).
- Experienced with creating games with interlocking, extensible design systems within a multiplayer context.
- Expert at high level design.
- Experienced with hands-on work.
- Experienced at designing, tuning, and expanding online multiplayer games.
- Excellent communication skills with inspirational drive.
- Excellent understanding of gameplay features and mechanics.
- Excellent in self-managing workloads through Jira or another tracking methodology.
- Excellent at setting the release/milestone goals and objectives for the entire design team.
- 5+ years experience as a senior design lead.
- Experience with Unreal would be preferable.
