THE AGENCY:
Damage: The Esports Agency is a full-service gaming & esports marketing & creative agency that assists brands with navigating our space. Based in Los Angeles, we are a group of gamers and agency leaders that are redefining brand marketing in gaming and esports. Companies hire us to help them build their brand within the ever-growing community of gamers and esports enthusiasts.
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dedicated Creative Director to join our growing team in Los Angeles. The candidate will collaborate with the brand team to ensure quality of concept and work produced in addition to presenting creative work to the client. The Creative Director leads and directs cross-disciplinary development and execution of short term and long-term creative strategies.
Additionally, he/she will develop and execute by working with cross functional teams including strategy and production in partnership with creative. This candidate is able to articulate the rationale behind their work and able to supervise designers, art directors and copywriters.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and manage all project deliverables, budget & timelines
- Collaborate with Accounts to ensure all projects are reviewed and delivered on time
- Work with strategy and production to concept and execute creative content on brand
- Concept and problem solve
- Directly supervise creative team, collaborate with team to develop concepts
- Present concepts to internal team and client with the ability to influence decisions
- Creatively lead new business pitches and present to prospective clients
- Direct production of approved concepts in collaboration with production
- Set team direction and motivate team
- Supervise and assign projects to creative team
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within team to Chief Creative Officer to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, corporate identity/brand management at a major agency or high profile brand
- Ability to stay calm and collective under tight deadlines and high pressure to deliver high-caliber work
- Expertise in developing creative solutions in a variety of campaigns, across a broad range of advertising channels including graphic design, video, print, digital and social
- Strong portfolio equally showcasing strategic, conceptual thinking, visual design and storytelling
- Knowledge of requirements of creative process including typical milestones and resources needed to produce high quality work on time and to specifications
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate with cross-functional teams, interpersonal skills, team motivation and conflict resolution are key
- Ability to develop concepts using design software including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong communication skills to inspire both your internal team and client team
