THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a skilled and imaginative Game Director to establish the creative vision and game direction for a brand-new multiplatform (PC, Console) open-world, sandbox, survival game. As the Game Director, you will lead the game’s design providing vision and direction for the game from concept phase through launch. The ideal candidate will combine craft expertise, enthusiasm, and leadership to shape an enjoyable, high-quality game that resonates with players.

Responsibilities

· Define, advocate for, and deliver the creative vision of the game.

· Collaborate with cross-functional leads to formulate the game development strategy and product roadmap.

· Lead design team in the developing game features from concept to full implementation focusing on rapid prototyping to discover engaging elements.

· Ensure the game's vision aligns with evolving market trends, user feedback, and business objectives.

· Establish clear and measurable creative objectives for the team throughout development.

· Encourage creativity, innovation, and a customer-centric approach within the development team.

· Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, conducting regular work-in-progress reviews to uphold quality of gameplay, balance, and player experience.

Requirements

· A minimum 10 years of game design experience, including roles as a Creative Director, Game Director, or similar design leadership positions.

· Proven track record of delivered content in multi-platform/AAA games.

· Effective communication skills with a history of providing constructive creative input within diverse cross-functional teams.

· Deep knowledge of game design, game mechanics, game balancing concepts, designer toolsets, and techniques.

· Skilled at balancing innovation with established gameplay mechanics to appeal to a global player base.

· Experience in guiding and mentoring teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.

· Shipped title in one of the categories: multiplayer 3rd person combat, open-world sandbox, or survival games.
