Legal Counsel, Enterprise Privacy

This position will report to EA’s Chief Privacy Officer and counsel in the creation of games, online services and business policy to help deliver upon EA’s mission to be the world’s greatest games company.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, effective and practical attorney who can drive global strategy around privacy and data protection. This is a great opportunity for a collaborative, strategic thinker who is interested in growing and maintaining a culture of privacy and accountability.
Role Scope
- Serve as privacy team lead for gaming and central engineering teams to ensure privacy-by-design is embedded in our products and solutions. This includes support of game development and deployment, marketing/ad-tech, central back-end databases, marketplace/commerce tools, in-game social and communication tools, and cloud gaming.
- Serve as privacy team lead for the company’s online health & safety programs and initiatives.
- Serve as privacy team lead for the company's data analytics and game telemetry initiatives;
- Serve as privacy team lead for game development;
- Provide guidance on global privacy regulatory compliance such as GDPR, CCPA, data privacy impact assessments, and data mapping.
General Qualifications
- J.D. and 5+ years’ relevant experience, with some law firm experience desired;
- Experience with consumer privacy, data governance, and broad consumer technology and entertainment, a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on diverse matters, successfully lead cross-functional projects, and comfortable finding creative and practical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, strong analytical skills, and a keen sense of humor.
- Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships;
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage a diverse and complex workload;
- CIPP, CIPP-E, a plus
- A/B.S. in computer science or other similarly related technical related field, a plus.
