AppLovin is looking for a talented and motivated Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. In addition to supporting general corporate matters, this position will play a key role in designing and implementing AppLovin’s global compliance program. You must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable as the go-to resource for cross-functional teams across the company. We are headquartered in Palo Alto, California, but this role is eligible for alternative worksites and/or work from home.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of AppLovin’s global compliance program and related activities, including leading internal trainings on Regulation FD, insider trading, code of ethics, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and related policies
- Support in the preparation of SEC and other corporate regulatory filings, quarterly earnings release materials and other disclosure matters
- Assist with various corporate governance matters
- Provide support as needed for transactional matters, including corporate support for M&A and commercial matter
- Work collaboratively and responsively with a broad range of colleagues across various teams and business functions ensuring an effective business partner relationship
- Coordinate with outside counsels and advisors on various projects and initiatives
Your background and who you are:
- Must have a JD or equivalent and admission to and active status in at least one state bar (and eligible to register for California or an applicable state bar’s in-house counsel program)
- 4+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in-house or at a law firm focused on corporate, securities or compliance work
- Experience as an in-house attorney at a public company or experience advising public companies
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of individuals in different geographies, including all levels of management and the board of directors
- Excellent ability to analyze problems and come up with practical, workable solutions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment
- Experience managing and delegating tasks to, and training of, support staff when necessary
- Ability to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communications
- Meticulous attention to detail, organized, thorough and efficient in driving results
- Inquisitive nature with a strong desire to learn about our business
- Willingness to take ownership in resolving issues by proactively identifying and implementing more effective and efficient ways of doing things and embracing technology
- Pitch in on whatever legal work needs doing, whenever it needs to be done
- A team player with a great sense of humor
- Familiarity with Google suite, Box, Powerpoint, Word, Excel & Docusign
