Role overview:
The role is ideally suited for a qualified finance professional with a proven track record in managing overhead budgets. The role will support the Financial Controller and the central GL team in managing and controlling the Head Office and Global Overhead costs of SIEE.
The role will require working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders at a senior level and so requires strong people skills and excellent organisation skills.
What you'll be doing:
- Monthly analysis of overhead costs.
- Production of SIEE overheads monthly flash reporting and rationalisation to actuals
- Preparation of key SIEE Ltd monthly BS Recs
- Reconciliation of the monthly foreign exchange movement against the respective balance sheet accounts
- Reconciliation of P&L impact of FX postings
- Management of monthly flash and upload into BPC and Business Warehouse
- Manage clearance of BS document currency postings.
- Ownership on monthly Payroll process
- Reconciliation of inter-company balances. Providing support and analysis for any imbalances to central finance.
- Monthly clearance of non-open items
- Monthly review and reclassification of Profit Centre postings
- Cost centre Reports Analysis including commentary and variance analysis.
- Analysis of company-wide T&E spend.
- Comparatives against budget and reclasses of any mis-posted costs.
- Managing overhead quarterly forecast Process.
- Manage annual overhead Budget Process.
- Presenting budget review and sign off meetings for budget approval.
- Assist with the review of established processes and procedures and propose recommendations for improvements.
- Support the business in training and use of SAP and SRM PO system.
- Support annual Statutory Audit by producing all supporting documentation to the accounts.
- Ad-hoc analysis & projects
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of five years post qualified proven financial accounting experience working within a large multi-national organisation in a similar role.
- Strong technical accounting skills – qualified ACCA/ACA
- Systems literate – with experience of SAP, Business Warehouse, BPC with an intermediate level of Excel competency
- Ability to work within a time pressured environment.
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment managing key stakeholders with conflicting views.
- Ability to lead and drive productive meetings.
- Organised self-starter with drive and commitment
- Experience of working closely with non-finance business stakeholders and ability to build effective working relationships across the organisation.
- Discreet and conscientious working attitude, as well as ability to use initiative.
- Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting.
