Coordinator, Product Strategy Team (Contract/Temporary)

WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT?
This Contract/Temporary Coordinator, Product Strategy Team role is located at the Wizards headquarters in Renton, WA, and is dedicated to supporting the team that makes Magic tabletop products. The Coordinator will assist with planning and running meetings, preparing presentations, managing schedules, and helping with intra-company deliverables for the Magic Product Strategy team. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about Magic, product development, and clear communication. They should be detail-oriented and driven, while also having the flexibility to deal with a wide variety of personality types and work flows.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CONTRACT/TEMPORARY COORDINATOR
Supports and facilitates the Magic Product Strategy team.
- Assist with scheduling and facilitating meetings for the MPS team.
- Take note of decisions and action items from MPS team meetings.
- Minimizes additional obstacles for the team.
Assist the business producer with HDM form prep (our process for tracking new products in development)
- Gather information from regional offices on international SKUs and localization.
- Work with the business producer to finalize forms for kickoff.
Manage product sample ordering and inventory for promotional use.
- Work with the business producer to maintain a library of new releases for business and promotional use.
- Maintain a card set library for promotional use.
Assist with the creation of Magic product presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Track down assets and information to populate presentation slides.
- Assist with the logistical planning of presentations and events both on-site and off-site.
- Help with the creation of product mock-ups and assist with product set-up.
Assist the Magic Product Strategy team by managing other tasks, such as:
- Providing the web team with a set credit list for each new Magic tabletop product.
- Provide our legal team with copies of fixed deck product for each set release in order to fulfill our copywrite requirements.
- Other Magic tabletop product-related tasks as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- A pro-active communicator who enjoys communicating both verbally and in writing?
- Someone who has a strong desire to create order and smooth flow, and enjoys figuring out the details?
- Someone who can be flexible, have a variety of different approaches to problem-solving, and work well with the variety of people and processes we have in Studio X?
- Someone who can work well with people who will often have far more expertise than you in their subject area.
- Someone who can work well in noisy, open areas?
- Someone who is passionate about gaming in general, and Magic in particular?
Education and Training: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Prior Related Experience:
- Experience working as a Marketing Coordinator, Business Assistant, or similar gaming industry support position is preferred.
- Experience with presentation management software such as Power Point is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Magic rules, cards, decks and products preferred
- Experience and familiarity with MS Office suit preferred.
