We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Specialist to join our Legal Department team. The ideal candidate will establish themselves as the go-to person for providing contract support to our Organized Play and Premier Events business units while demonstrating a collaborative, efficient, and meticulous approach. Additionally, the candidate should be able to build and maintain a reputation for delivering timely, reliable, accurate, and thorough service to our business clients. Developing strong relationships with Legal Department teams in Bellevue and London is also critical to this role.
Job Title: Contracts Specialist
Job Summary: Provides contract support, teamed with a Sr. Corporate Counsel, to Organized Play and Premier Events, TPCi’s local tournament and e-sports program (physical card tournaments + online videogame tournaments) businesses.

What you’ll do
- Craft, evaluate, and negotiate a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of complex commercial agreements including vendor, tournament licenses, and venue agreements for the Organized Play and Premier Events business units.
- Review and edit routine or standardized service contracts and scoping documents (e.g., Statements of Work, Work Order, Change Orders).
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and venues on contract negotiations and issues.
- Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
- Communicate and clearly present information to stakeholders all contract-related matters and collaborate with stakeholder and subject matter experts for their reviews and approvals.
- Proactively coordinate with stakeholders to close-out, extend, or renew contracts.
- Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and policies.
- Champion and educate internal users in the proper use of new contracting processes.
- Conduct research and other projects as may be assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Five + (5+) years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
- Critical thinking, including devising creative pragmatic solutions to resolve new and unexpected issues/uncertain situations.
- Manage workload in queue and logically prioritize or redefine assignments, as required, to ensure most critical deadlines are met.
- Manage multiple projects at once to deadline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Experience working with and managing contracts in a contract management system.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Personal experience attending events similar to Pokémon Play! events, including league, esports, competive/casual TCG strongly preferred.
Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $102,000.00 - $120,650.00 per year. The full range is $102,000.00 - $152,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
