Content Marketing Specialist

The Content Marketing Specialist supports the team by aiding in the execution of community, social, and content marketing initiatives. This individual will also assist in managing our relationship with our player communities through writing and editing content for a variety of communications channels, including websites, forums, and social media pages. Maintaining an active awareness of player sentiment, engaging with the community, and providing player feedback to management will be important aspects of this role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist in the implementation of assigned online community activities. Coordinate messaging and publish content across multiple communication platforms.
- Assist in communicating new product features across assigned channels.
- Help monitor, moderate and engage on NCSOFT owned communication channels.
- Write and edit on-brand messaging about the company and its products in a solid, consistent voice.
- Manage the website publishing pipeline, including scheduling, reviews, content entry, and encoding for assigned products.
- Assist the team in operational and administrative support tasks.
- Report player feedback and sentiment to management.
- Gather research and background information to support implementation of strategies to influence public opinion and promote company activities within our game communities.
- Interpret customer analytics and trends in social media to help measure and increase assigned campaign effectiveness.
- Support live events, promotions, and campaigns.
- Assist the team in executing promotions, in-game events, and fan engagement initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- 1 - 3 years' experience working in community management, social media, or content marketing roles.
- A coachable, flexible, open, and self-motivated personality with a supportive, team-focused mindset. Must be willing to learn and receive guidance from senior team members.
- Exemplary writing skills, especially when it comes to producing copy that resonates with passionate fan communities.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A deep understanding of assigned NCSOFT games and the people that play them.
- A strong understanding of our brands in order to create content that is consistent with brand standards.
- Superb attention to detail with excellent organizational, project management and coordination skills.
- Bias for action.
- Passionate about community engagement and player communications.
- A thoughtful and compassionate approach to interaction not only with our player communities but with internal co-workers.
- A collaborative work approach both within and outside the Content Marketing Team.
- A strong ability to manage stress and operate effectively under tight deadlines and ambiguous circumstances.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with the flexibility to switch focus and priorities to meet the demands of business goals.

- A deep understanding of major and emerging social media networks, communities, practices, culture, and tools.
- An in-depth understanding of games, gamers, and online communities.
