Content Editor – World of Tanks

Job Overview

Wargaming Europe is looking a Content Editor to join the World of Tanks Player Engagement team in Prague.

Reports to

Content Manager

What will you do?

· Under the supervision of the Content Manager and Content Team Lead, your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

· Assisting in executing the content strategy for World of Tanks in Europe (https://worldoftanks.eu/) and North America (https://worldoftanks.com/)

· Creating, proofreading, and updating content on the World of Tanks websites, game launcher (Wargaming.net Game Center) and in-game news through various Content Management Systems

· (e.g., complex articles about particular tanks, gameplay guides, special offers, business partnerships, events, and previews of upcoming game features)

· Supporting the Content Manager with researching and gathering assets needed from other departments/offices to create content

· Assisting in the briefing and creation of key visuals, infographics, scripts, newsletters, and marketing assets (digital and print)

· Flag up potential issues and delays in a timely manner

· Keeping yourself and the websites up to date with all updates and new features

· Proactively sharing improvements to existing content, and offering new ideas to reach a wider audience, drawing them to the official websites

· Compiling reports related to content performance

· Travelling to different offices or other locations to attend workshops

· Help with content project management when there is the need such as team absences

What are we looking for?

· Fluent and/or native English speaker with professional editorial skills

· Bachelor’s degree in English language, journalism, marketing, or a related field

· Minimum one year of relevant industry experience

· Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

· Experience in working with Content Management Systems

· Basic knowledge of HTML

· Great interpersonal and communication skills

· A flexible, positive, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude

· Ability to focus and produce high quality work under pressure

· Ability and willingness to travel

· Additional language skills

· Passion for and knowledge of the gaming industry, especially free-to-play games like World of Tanks

· Experience in the following:

- JIRA

- Confluence

- (Advanced) HTML/ (basic) CSS
