Content Developer - RuneScape

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Content Developer to join the RuneScape team. We are looking for people that have a passion for games and would like a role creating new game content for our weekly RuneScape releases.

RuneScape features a huge variety of content. You could be creating quests, events, combat experiences, interfaces, minigames, skills or gameplay improvements. The role is a hybrid between design and development. We use an internally developed scripting language and development suite for which full training will be provided.

Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to create fantastic new content to shape the future of our virtual world. You could be taking projects through design, development and testing to release where they can be enjoyed by players around the world.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and script engaging new game content for RuneScape
• Contribute creative ideas and offer feedback to others on their ideas
• Use our internal dev suite to produce safe, efficient and maintainable code
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with developers and other disciplines to bring the team's vision to life

Requirements

• A portfolio of previous work to showcase
• Relevant degree level education. Examples include Computer Science and Games Design
